Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for Training to include New Hire Orientation; Refresher and Post-Accident Training.

Provide overall leadership and direction on safety while promoting a positive safety culture.

Build and implement safety plans in conjunction with HSE and Operations teams.

Conduct routine facility and equipment inspections.

Lead and direct the fixed-route safety and training program.
-
Teaches and supervises classroom training content to guarantee compliance.
-
Working knowledge of safety metrics and calculations to include TRIR; DOT Accident Rates, etc.

Generates and maintains all necessary driver files.

Investigate events, accidents, and work-related injuries.
Education:
-
High School diploma and combination of work experience
Requirements
-
Knowledgeable of DOT policies, OSHA standards, and ADA requirements
-
A Class "B" or "A" commercial driver's license is Preferred.

Experience developing and implementing safety program plans and procedures; conducting investigations, analyzing data, identifying and recommending corrective actions

Availability to work flexible hours to fulfill the demands of the company

Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently

Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time

Experience with time management skills, prioritizing and meeting deadline expectations

Basic computer skills; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc
