Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of transporting freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. As a key player in our logistics operations, you will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks and handling diverse cargo will keep our supply chain moving smoothly and reliably.
Duties
- Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to deliver freight across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods.
- Navigate route driving with precision, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures related to operating refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, flatbeds, and specialized equipment like dump trucks or forklift operations when required.
Experience
- Proven truck driving experience with a focus on commercial driving in various vehicle types such as tractor-trailers or flatbeds.
- Demonstrated ability to load & unload freight efficiently while ensuring cargo safety during transit.
- Experience with route driving across urban or rural areas, managing delivery schedules under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred; however, training can be provided for qualified candidates.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment is advantageous.
- Prior experience in delivery driver roles involving freight handling and route management is highly valued.
