Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and triaxle dump trucks. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction industry, aggregate hauling, machinery load & unload operations,etc. Candidates should possess strong driving skills, familiarity with manual transmissions, and the ability to handle different cargo types safely and efficiently. While trucking will be the majority of job duties, there are days where trucking is not needed, employee will be expected to join the construction crew to assist with laboring/machinery operator duties as needed. This is a great opportunity for a CDL driver who wants to be involved with a variety of duties, and does not want to exclusively drive a truck every day.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers and dump trucks across designated routes.
• Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Manage route driving responsibilities, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups at various locations.
• Handle freight securely to prevent damage during transit.
• Perform basic truck maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations.
• Assist with construction crews when trucking is not needed.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record.
• Experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery; familiarity with route driving preferred.
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks is required.
• Experience with various truck types including tractor trailers and triaxle dump trucks.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and cargo handling.
• Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform vehicle inspections regularly.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time
