Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operation! This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and more. You will be responsible for safely transporting freight across routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Secure freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with company standards.
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining fuel efficiency and safety protocols.
- Secure loads properly for transport, especially when handling flatbed or tanker shipments, ensuring cargo stability during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or vehicle issues.
- Assist with maintenance checks and report any mechanical concerns promptly to keep trucks in optimal condition.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and a minimum 1 year of verifiable experience.
- Experience operating trucks in various configurations, such as tractor-trailers,
- Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and freight handling.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment like forklifts or other tools as needed.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to commercial driving and cargo securement standards.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and customers.
- Physical ability to perform load handling tasks and long hours on the road. Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
