Class B Truck Driver

Join our dynamic team as a Class B Truck Driver for Street Sweepers and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. Duties

• Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles, including vacuum sweepers, water trucks, etc..
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Deliver freight accurately to various locations, ensuring proper handling of specialized cargo like refrigerated goods or tanker loads.
• Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, and inspection reports.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.

Experience

• English and Spanish preferably
• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks.
• Familiarity with driving manual transmission vehicles is required.
• Prior experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of load & unload procedures and freight handling techniques.
• Ability to manage route driving efficiently while maintaining safety standards at all times.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle types operated.
