Weekend & After Hours Septic Truck Driver - Class A or B CDL

Position Overview

This position is for weekend and after hour emergency calls. You MUST be available during weekend and after hours. We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Septic, Grease, & Wastewater Pumping Driver / Technician to serve as a key field representative for this part time, as needed, role works closely with company ownership, dispatch, and customers to ensure safe, efficient service delivery and exceptional customer experiences at every job site.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a newer single axle or tandem axle septic truck to various job sites throughout Central Indiana on certain nights and weekends when dispatched.
• Locate, sometimes dig, and pump septic tanks and grease traps.
• Connect, disconnect, carry, and stow hoses.
• Effectively communicate with customers before, during, and after jobs while performing exceptional customer service.
• Clean and perform light maintenance on trucks.
• Ensure truck is fully equipped with all standard supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of pumping and disposal, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to be on-call for night and weekend emergency jobs.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrake and tanker endorsement with clean MVR.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times a day and work outdoors in all weather conditions while performing manual labor tasks.
• Ability to be on call during weekends and after hours.
• Ability to use technology and software.
• Excellence in time management, worth ethic, and ability to work independently.
• Must be located in Central Indiana.
• Must be able to pass background checks, drug screening, and DOT physical requirements.

Work Schedule

• Weeknights: Available for emergency calls after 7:00 PM
• Weekends: On-call from Friday at 7:00 PM through Monday at 5:00 AM

Schedule Nature:

• This is a part-time, on-call role with no guaranteed hours
• Call volume will vary:
• Some shifts may have multiple service calls
• Other shifts may have no calls at all
• Driver must be able to respond promptly when dispatched

Expectations:

• Maintain readiness during on-call periods
• Respond to emergency septic service calls as needed
• Flexibility is required due to unpredictable workload

Compensation Benefits & Growth Opportunities

• Hourly rate: $55.50/hr-$65.50/hr based on experience and skillset plus per call bonus.
• Minimum 2 hours per shift/call
• Uniform, PPE provided.
• Home daily
• Paid weekly.
