Floyd-Floyd County Public Service Authority
Duties:
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems
- Monitor and analyze water/wastewater samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise
- Keep accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and test results
- Assist with the construction and installation of new equipment or upgrades
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as needed
-Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have a driver's license, provide a driving record, be able to pass an alcohol/drug test, and will agree to have a background check done prior to beginning of work.
-Applicants will be required to work some Weekend/Holidays, and after normal scheduled working hours and emergency work required when needed.
-Applicants will need to achieve a state license in Water and Wastewater, once required experience has been completed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in wastewater treatment or a related field is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements
- Ability to work independently and follow written instructions
- Good communication skills for interacting with team members and supervisors
- Physical stamina for performing tasks that require heavy lifting and manual labor
