Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment and systems to ensure efficient processing of wastewater.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including pumps, valves, and motors.
• Collect and analyze data related to water quality, flow rates, and system performance.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed for facility operations and maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot issues with distributed control systems and logic controllers to ensure optimal functionality.
• Conduct heavy lifting as required for equipment installation or repair tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to build effective solutions for operational challenges.

Experience

• No prior experience is necessary, but would be a plus if the rest of the listed below falls within your experience.
• Proven experience in water treatment or wastewater operations is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair and maintain various types of equipment.
• Familiarity with data collection methods and analysis relevant to wastewater treatment processes.
• Experience in operating heavy equipment safely and effectively is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks associated with equipment handling and facility maintenance.
