Wastewater Operator

The City of Lexington is currently accepting applications for a Wastewater laborer. Duties include the operation and maintenance of the treatment plant and 15 Lift Stations. Operator will also be involved in maintaining the sewer collection system and Step Systems. This position is manual work involving the maintenance and repair relating to wastewater facilities. Eligible candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience and a wastewater certification license is preferred. Candidates with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining pumps is a plus. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm including on-call rotation. Benefits include paid vacation, sick, paid dental, health and life insurance for employees and 50% subsidy for dependent coverage.
