Job Title: Urban Youth Academy-Concessions Attendant
Job Summary: The Concessions Attendant will operate the concessions stand for patrons of games and other events that are hosted at the UYA. This includes cooking hotdogs, preparing other hot foods like pretzels and popcorn. This position will take orders, payment and provide the items to the customer.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Prepare food and restock items as they are sold.
- Take payment through our register and provide correct change back to the customer.
- Keep the stand clean and sanitary.
- Notify the Concessions Lead of any food nearing expiration and items that are out of stock.
- When closing the stand make sure everything is wiped down and clean, throw away any trash and recycling.
- Close the register and assist the Concessions Lead count the money and place in the safe.
- Always represent the Royals Organization in a professional manner.
Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient at taking instruction and performing duties assigned.
- Dependable to work while not under constant supervision.
- Ability to listen and take food orders correctly and quickly.
- Attention to deal when keeping concessions clean.
- Possess a friendly demeanour.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Capable of standing for extended periods during peak operations.
- Proficiency in handling cash transactions with accuracy.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Urban Youth Academy location.
