Sweeper/Vacuum Truck Operator/Trash Porter

Piscataqua Landscaping is a leading and reputable landscaping company dedicated to creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces for residential and commercial properties.

We are seeking a team-oriented, 2nd or 3rd Shift Operator to service a host of Commercial Properties after hours. This schedule is somewhat flexible in that we can work with a new employee to establish work hours that might run either from late evening to early morning, or very early morning to mid-morning time frames.

It will work out to four (4) to five (5) days per week with total hours in the week ranging from 27-34 +/-. This will be the perfect job for an individual that is potentially retired and looking for some extra income.

If you enjoy working alone when the public is largely inactive, with the support of a well-established Landscaping Company, this is your calling.

The main Landscaping office is in Eliot, Maine. However, the position will function out of a branch office located in North Hampton, NH.

The offered hourly pay will be commensurate with the employee’s skill level and desire to be trained and learn.

Requirements:

• Being trained as needed, to operate a lightweight Sweeper/Vacuum truck for the maintenance of parking lots, but also requires some level of manual trash porter work (handpicking) of lawn and island areas as needed.
• Operating the company equipment in a productive and safe manner.
• Ensuring that all jobs and properties are maintained in a neat and organized manner to the satisfaction of both the company and the clients’ expectations.
• Requires completing both “electronic” and “paper” daily work logs, with the proper training of the company.
• The truck requires no special driver licensing other than the standard driver’s license.
• The employee must be able to pass and obtain a DOT Medical card and have a clean driving record to be insurable by our vendor standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid and current Driver's License
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
• Ability to obtain a DOT Med Card
