Street Sweeper Operator

POSITION DESCRIPTION: STREET SWEEPER OPERATOR

WORK OBJECTIVE:

Under the supervision of a departmental supervisor, the incumbent performs skilled labor. General duties would consist of driving and operating a specialized vehicle gathering refuse and debris for collection. Incumbent may also operate dump trucks, sanitation vehicles, and tractors. Incumbents will perform work in all environmental conditions. Work is subject to inspection while in progress and upon completion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent. Must have a Florida Driver License. Minimum of six (6) months’ work experience that proves knowledge of driving large vehicles. Position requires a very self-motivated person who is willing to work a flexible work schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.16 per hour
