Residential garbage route driver & Grapple truck driver

Duties

• Safely operate a variety of waste collection trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbed trucks to service residential neighborhoods.
• Load and unload waste materials using mechanical knowledge of grapple arms and other lifting equipment.
• Drive along designated routes, ensuring timely pickups while maintaining high safety standards.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks required for waste collection, utilizing manual techniques or mechanical aids as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route progress or any operational issues.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, vehicle maintenance reports, and incident documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a focus on residential waste collection or similar delivery roles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and clearinghouse.
• Preferred mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks such as front loaders, rear loaders, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds is
• Ability to perform lifting safely and efficiently during waste load handling.
• Familiarity with operating grapple arms on grapple trucks for efficient waste collection is preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and driving regulations.
• Excellent driving skills with experience handling large vehicles like front loader trucks or roll-off trucks.
