BACE is seeking a skilled MIG Welder / Robotic Welding Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for performing MIG welding, operating robotic welding equipment, inspecting weld quality, and supporting the fabrication of heavy-duty waste and recycling equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel components according to engineering drawings and welding specifications.
- Operate and monitor robotic welding cells to ensure quality welds and production efficiency.
- Load and unload parts into robotic welding fixtures and verify proper positioning.
- Set up welding fixtures, jigs, and tooling as required.
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, penetration, and compliance with specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, work orders, and fabrication drawings.
- Perform grinding, fitting, and finishing operations as needed.
- Measure completed parts using tape measures, squares, calipers, and other inspection tools.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and productivity.
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Experience operating robotic welding equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, weld quality, and metal fabrication processes.
- Experience using hand tools, grinders, and measuring equipment.
