Heavy Equipment Operator

Thompson Field Services is looking for a self motivated and hard working Heavy Equipment Operator in the Aspermont Texas area to load trucks and operate crusher. Experience needed. The Loader Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a front-end wheel loader (or similar heavy machinery) to load, transport, stockpile, and unload materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, rock, aggregate, debris, or other bulk materials. This role supports construction, excavation, mining, quarrying, or material handling operations while maintaining equipment, following safety protocols, and coordinating with ground crew and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and dump trucks with precision and adherence to safety standards
• Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling using appropriate machinery
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Coordinate with project managers and team members to execute tasks efficiently and safely
• Load and unload materials using front loader trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, or other specialized machinery.
• Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to prevent accidents or injuries
• Maintain accurate documentation of equipment usage and maintenance activities

Experience

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and various trucks (front loader truck, dump truck, water truck, roll-off truck)
• Construction site experience preferred; familiarity with concrete mixers and farm machinery is a plus
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic maintenance on machinery
• Commercial driving experience with appropriate licenses for operating large vehicles such as tanker trucks or heavy-duty trucks is desirable
• Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is advantageous
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adhere to safety standards at all times

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
