Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Dump Truck Operator and become a vital part of our heavy equipment operation crew. Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, and backhoes to move materials around construction sites.
- Safely load and unload materials including gravel, dirt, asphalt, and debris while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on dump trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other equipment operators to facilitate efficient material delivery and site logistics.
- Assist with site preparation activities such as grading or moving earth using compatible machinery like graders or bulldozers when needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of material movements and equipment usage for project documentation.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience operating dump trucks in a construction or heavy civil environment is required.
- Familiarity with operating other heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, backhoes, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, or paving machinery is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting is beneficial.
- Prior construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills is essential.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with relevant endorsements for operating heavy equipment on public roads is necessary.
