Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, and backhoes to move materials around construction sites.
• Safely load and unload materials including gravel, dirt, asphalt, and debris while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on dump trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and other equipment operators to facilitate efficient material delivery and site logistics.
• Assist with site preparation activities such as grading or moving earth using compatible machinery like graders or bulldozers when needed.
• Maintain accurate logs of material movements and equipment usage for project documentation.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.

Experience

• Proven experience operating dump trucks in a construction or heavy civil environment is required.
• Familiarity with operating other heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, backhoes, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, or paving machinery is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting is beneficial.
• Prior construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills is essential.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with relevant endorsements for operating heavy equipment on public roads is necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
