Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced delivery driver with skid steer experience. We deliver mulch, rock, soils, plants and more. MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE WITH CLEAN DRIVING RECORD! Must have skid steer experience as you will be loading your own deliveries. We are looking for a responsible driver who can handle the pressure of a high volume, fast paced nursery. Must have nice appearance and be comfortable interacting with customers.
Responsibilities
- Maintain healthy plants by watering, pruning, fertilizing, and monitoring for pests or diseases
- Operate skid steer with out any assistance
- Able to accurately count plant material and bulk material loads
- Assist with loading customers when in between deliveries.
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring the store is inviting and well-presented
- Support e-commerce operations by managing online orders and coordinating local delivery or pickup options
- Run local plant and bulk materials deliveries
- Communicate effectively in English; multilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, gardening, horticulture, or floral design is preferred but not required—training will be provided!
- Must have valid drivers license
- Strong communication skills to engage with customers confidently and clearly
- Ability to operate equipment such as skid steer, loader, non CDL dump truck is required
- Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance, and plant health fundamentals is preferred.
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels, merchandising displays, and inventory records efficiently
- Ability to lift minimum of 50lbs repeatedly is required
- Working in adverse weather ie. rain, snow, heat, and cold is occasionally required
- Ability to stand for extended periods while assisting customers or maintaining displays
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous for connecting with a diverse clientele
