CDL A Driver / Septic Service Technician

Position Summary: The Christopher Bryant Company, an established septic service company, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team. An ideal candidate would be a self-starter and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Must enjoy working directly with Residential or Commercial Customers to solve issues and provide excellent service. This position is at times physically demanding with lifting, digging, raking, shoveling and working outdoors in inclement weather. Ability to safely operate excavation equipment. On-the-job training will be provided. A CDL class A or B license is preferred but not exclusive for the right individual. Must pass CT State Sub Surface Sewage Cleaner Licensing exam. If you are already licensed, you can jump right in.

Duties:

• Pre-trip the truck and load equipment for that day
• Run each job site: Dig tank openings, pull hoses, pump tanks and note all findings
• Fill out paperwork with attention to details, including basic math skills and legible handwriting
• Dump truck at local dump facilities, fill up truck with fuel
• End of day shop time to complete any paperwork, clean: truck, equipment and workspace
• Installation Of Septic Components and Materials
• Confined space entry if needed (training available)

Position Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly
• Be mechanically inclined with ability trouble-shoot problems
• Strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow a map to customer locations
• Strong customer service skills
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screenings
• Must be able to receive a DOT medical card (must pass a DOT physical exam)
